Best for a full Halloween burlesque musical

There are Halloween-themed variety nights.

Then there are productions where Halloween becomes the reason the entire show exists.

Can Can’s This Is Halloween belongs firmly in the second category.

Presented at Seattle’s Triple Door, the 2026 production runs October 15 through October 31 and transforms the world of Jack Skellington into a dark-fantasy burlesque musical with Can Can’s signature cabaret style, live orchestral music, vocals and video projection. Early performances are listed as PG-13, while later shows are 21+. 

Choose This Is Halloween if:

• you want Halloween to drive the entire production
• you like burlesque mixed with live music and theatrical storytelling
• you want a complete night out rather than one Halloween-themed act
• you are traveling with someone who wants spectacle but would never think to search for “burlesque”

Seattle is particularly useful for serious spooky-season travelers in 2026 because Can Can is also presenting Zombie Cheerleaders From Hell from September 17 through November 1.

2. Boolesque: Halloween Burlesque Show, Copenhagen

Best for immersive Halloween burlesque

Copenhagen gets one of the most conceptually committed entries on this list.

Sweet Burlesque’s Boolesque returns on October 22 and 23, 2026 at H15.

This year, the audience boards the Hell Express, traveling through seven stations inspired by the seven deadly sins.

Already better than a pumpkin centerpiece.

More importantly, Boolesque is not presented as a sequence of performers who happen to be wearing Halloween costumes.

Solo and group performances connect through actors, hosts and characters inside one continuing story, and the audience may influence how parts of the evening develop.

On October 22, 2026, The Pin-Up Games brings a special Halloween edition of TEASE TEASE TEASE to Château Tigre at Cirque Électrique.

The current lineup is led by Australian burlesque performer Bettie Bombshell and includes an international collection of burlesque, freak-show and cabaret artists assembled for an explicitly darker Halloween edition.

• you like glamour with a darker edge

4. Hexed and Undressed, Sydney

Best for spending Halloween night inside a cabaret

Some productions happen sometime during October.

Others answer the much more specific question:

Cardea in Barangaroo lists Hexed and Undressed: Halloween Cabaret for Saturday, October 31, 2026, with Haus of Fury summoning what the venue describes as a night of “sinful cabaret.”

The venue already hosts burlesque, circus, live music and dinner shows throughout the year, which means Halloween is entering an existing cabaret ecosystem rather than being attached to an otherwise ordinary nightclub for one weekend. 

Choose Hexed and Undressed if:

• you will be in Sydney on October 31
• you want cabaret instead of a conventional Halloween party
• dinner, cocktails and atmosphere matter as much as the stage
• you want something adult and theatrical
• you would rather have performers than another playlist

For a one-night event like this, verify current availability before building the rest of your evening around it.

5. Premonitions Inc. at Kermess, Chicago

Best for circus, cabaret and supernatural atmosphere

Chicago gets a genuinely interesting new option in 2026.

Premonitions Inc. opens October 15 at Kermess inside a century-old Belgian Spiegeltent.

The 21+ production is described as a circus and fortune-telling cabaret, with a 90-minute performance and table service for food and drinks.

Shows currently run through November, including performances on October 29, October 30 and Halloween night, Saturday, October 31 at 7:30 PM. 

Choose Kermess if:

• you want circus as much as cabaret
• you like theatrical environments
• you want Halloween-night entertainment without entering a haunted house
• you are planning a more sophisticated Chicago date night
• you like shows where the room itself is part of what you bought

That last point matters.

Sometimes the most memorable part of a live show is not an individual act.

Some October entertainment feels spooky.

Halloween does not require pumpkins.

Sometimes a dangerous forest is enough.

Company XIV’s Petite Rouge reimagines Charles Perrault’s Little Red Riding Hood through the company’s lavish Baroque Burlesque language, combining ornate costume, aerial artistry, dance, music and sensual theatricality.

The current production is now playing and extended through Halloween, with Company XIV’s own current press materials confirming a run through October 31, 2026. 

Choose Petite Rouge if:

• you want theatrical luxury
• you like fairytales considerably more after they become dangerous
• you want burlesque, circus and dance inside one coherent visual world

• you want an October experience that would still be worth seeing without the word “Halloween” attached to it
