When you enter a room, what are you already aware of?
“I am aware of the people in a space. What is happening and where a moment may go.”
What do you notice that others tend to miss?
“I tend to notice what is not said. Pauses, glances, and hesitations speak louder than words that are spoken.”
What shifts when you are present — even before you act?
“The tendency to hide shifts. I am a safe space which allows for an openness.”
What is your relationship to silence, stillness, or restraint in performance?
“Stillness and silence in performance gives the audience a place to quiet their mind. That space allows for the curiosity to wonder what is next.”
What does the audience feel before they understand what they’re seeing?
“A grounded warmth that allows them to just be.”
